 Colin Palc, began production over 100 years ago producing dried hops for use by a local beer manufacturer. In 1966 Georges Colin was asked to grow and dry vegetables and herbs for use in the food production. To this day Colin Palc is still wholly owned by the Colin Family. The head office in Mittlehausen, France, consists of laboratories, production facilities and treatment areas and covers 10 000 sq m. With farms and growing partners all around the world all production is co-ordinated by the Head Office in France. Colin are able to offer dried vegetables and herbs, Spices and spice blends, Browned and dry fried ingredients, flavour blends and a unique form of drying CVD. CVD is a drying process designed and installed by Colin Palc S.A.S. It is a process which dries by Vacuum but with less damage than traditional vacuum drying giving a product closer to freeze drying. Greater flavour retention with a less dense product giving a faster rehydration with a lower degree of structure damage. The product range includes Black Olives, Raspberries, Pepper corns, and Ham pieces.
